Throughout the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 photography apps on Android in Ghana showcased diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

ToonApp Cartoon Photo Editor from Lyrebird Studio experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $31 in the final week of December. Weekly downloads showed a steady rise, reaching 9.0K in the week of December 19, while weekly active users grew from 15.3K at the start of the quarter to 24K by the end.

Photo Lab Picture Editor & Art by Linerock Investments LTD saw its weekly revenue peak at $22 in the week of December 19. Download numbers varied slightly, maintaining an average around 5.4K to 6.9K throughout the quarter. However, weekly active users saw a gradual decline, dropping from 103K in late September to around 90K by the end of December.

Google Photos maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 4.4K and 6.0K. The app's active user base remained robust, starting at 4.65M and increasing to 4.93M by the end of the quarter.

HD Camera showed a relatively stable download rate, peaking at 4.5K in late October. Active users also remained consistent, with a slight increase from 11.4K to 11.2K throughout the quarter.
